The Ladies Sodality is an active group with over 250 plus ladies from all communities of our parish, with the newest member being a convert from Bengal. Members of the Association, visit the old and sick whenever time permits. During Lent, they pay a visit to the Shrine of Infant Jesus, Nashik, Our Lady of Fatima Church, Karjat and the different shrines in and around Mumbai for the Stations of the Cross.

The Ladies Sodality of Our Lady of Egypt Church, Kalina, celebrated it’s 101st year on 15th August 2024, the Feast Day of Our Lady of the Assumption. The Novena to Our Lady of the Assumption & the Triduum with celebration of the Holy Eucharist is the most awaited time of the year for the members of the Association. This occasion brings to mind the life of Mary, a constant reminder that we need to live as she lived—loving God, desiring God, and trying to please God.

In the words of St. Paul II – “From Mary we learn to surrender to God’s will in all things. From Mary we learn to trust even when all hope seems gone. From Mary we learn to love Christ her Son and the Son of God.”

The Feast Mass was celebrated at 9:30 am with a very thought provoking & enlightening homily on the Life of Nature, Life of Grace and Life of Glory in the context of Mary, by Fr. Sravan, the spiritual director of the Association. This year five new members were consecrated to the Association on the third day of the Triduum.

The evening thereafter was lively which commenced with a prayer by Fr. Sravan, followed by interactive compering by Selu, followed by a song composed & sung by Fatima a member the association. The evening continued with fun filled games, foot tapping music by Prakash and delicious food from Neil caterers.
