Pilgrimage to The Basilica of Our Lady of the Mount, Bandra was organized on Sunday the 8th  June, 2025 by the Family Cell of the Parish for the Senior Citizens and the Sick. It was participated by 40 pilgrims (one full bus capacity).

The journey began with the opening prayer by Mrs. Abline Jacinto. The Family Cell Team briefed the Pilgrims on the importance of this pilgrimage and the privileges for obtaining the Indulgence. During the journey to Mount Mary, Rosary was recited.

At the Mount Mary Basilica, Father Michael Goveas welcomed the Pilgrims from Kalina Parish before the start of the mass. Our Family Cell member, Abline Jacinto got the opportunity to proclaim the Word of God at Mass. After the mass, the Parish Fathers gave a special blessing to the Pilgrims. Thereafter, the family cell team lead the group with prayer for the intensions of the Pope. A short brief of the Jubilee Cross was provided and together the Jubilee prayer was prayed.

After the light refreshments and interactions with Fr. Sunder Albuquerque, Pilgrims returned to Kalina. On the way back, Pilgrims prayed for each one’s intentions – 40 people (40 hail Mary’s) every one praying one hail Mary. Each pilgrim was also given a Pilgrim of Hope magnet in remembrance of the pilgrimage.

The Pilgrims felt this pilgrimage spiritual and very fruitful and appreciated initiative taken by our church and requested for many such initiatives.

We thank Rev. Fr. Sunder Albuquerque for taking special interest for making our pilgrimage comfortable and sparing his valuable time with the Pilgrims.
