It was decided in the PPC Meeting, that the PPC members will organise ‘Breakfast Sunday’ as an initiative to collect funds to be sent to the Missions.
Many of the PPC members, volunteered to make homemade tasty snack items to sell on Mission Sunday. Some of the mouth-watering food items included fugias, hot dogs, dosa, idli, potato chops, pattices, chicken mayo rolls, sorpotel, sandwiches, briyani, etc.
Some communities from different zones donated either cash or gave food items to be put up for sale. Many of our PPC members too donated food items like biscuits, bread, mince etc. The PPC members themselves used the items received and made the sandwiches and rolls for sale.
It was a happy day full of fun. This event encouraged bonding among the PPC members and with our parishioners. It was a well organised event, which was a success because of the teamwork. All the food items got sold out very fast.
Our Parish Priest, Fr. Rui Comelo along with Fr. Amol, Fr. Sravan & Fr. Joshua also patronised our food stalls. We thank our generous parishioners for patronizing the food stalls.
A vote of thanks to Fr. Rui Comelo, Parish Priest and all PPC Members for making this Breakfast Sunday a successful event generating funds for the Missions.
Many thanks to Barbara, Walter, Christina, Clifford, Daisy, Mary Rodrigues, Vira, Leena, Ronika, Miriam, Christine …. And others for making the tasty snack items. Also a big thanks to Iola, Alphonse, Mary D’souza for their donation in cash from their individual communities.
